TRENDS Research & Advisory concluded its active participation in IDEX and NAVDEX 2025, and the International Defense Conference, asserting its role as a key knowledge partner in analyzing strategic defense and security issues and enhancing the role of scholarly research in foreseeing the future of technological industries.

During its participation, the TRENDS research team contributed to moderating specialized panel discussions and provided in-depth analyses on the latest trends in the defense and security sectors. The team also contributed to the preparation of final reports and recommendations, including a White Paper that shed light on the most important developments in the industry.

A number of senior experts from the TRENDS Washington office took part in the discussion sessions, including Bilal Saab, Director of TRENDS’ U.S. Office, who discussed strategies for countering weapons of mass destruction (CBRNE) through advanced technologies and international cooperation. Also, Vice Admiral (Ret.) Kevin Donegan and Natasha Ahmed, both advisors to the TRENDS’ Office in Washington, provided strategic insights into the developments of the defense sector and the importance of scholarly research in supporting decision-makers.

Moreover, the TRENDS team, led by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, held a series of high-level meetings with senior officials and experts, including His Excellency Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defense Affairs; Lt Colonel Staff Pilot Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Director of the Special Patrols Department and General Supervisor of the Police Heritage at Abu Dhabi Police; and Dr. Nasser Al-Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Tawazun Council. Discussions focused on the importance of integrating scholarly research with major defense events in order to enhance knowledge and formulate future strategies.

At the conclusion of the events, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali stressed that TRENDS’ participation in IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 reflects its commitment to providing robust research that keeps pace with global transformations in defense and security. He noted that these events consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub and destination for conferences and exhibitions and contribute to supporting innovation in the defense sectors.

For his part, Abdullah Al-Hammadi, Head of Advisory Sector at TRENDS, explained that the Center will continue its research and strategic efforts to support policymakers and researchers by providing innovative insights and in-depth analyses on key challenges and opportunities in the field of defense. This, he added, strengthens TRENDS’ role as a knowledge partner in international forums.
