TRENDS Research & Advisory concluded its active participation in the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos after four days filled with engaging events, intellectual discussions and research-focused dialogues, primarily centered around artificial intelligence and human fraternity.

As part of its commitment to promoting the values of tolerance, TRENDS organized a panel discussion titled Uniting Forces: Public-Private Pathways to a Global Fraternity Movement“. The event, held at the Abraham House in Davos alongside the global forum, attracted notable participation from leaders in thought, politics and economics.

The panel featured an opening address by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Khaled Al-Ghaith, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity, who welcomed attendees and praised the role of the Human Fraternity Document in fostering global peace and tolerance. He emphasized that since its historic signing on February 4, 2019, the document has become a global symbol, requiring continuous support to transform its principles into a dynamic global movement.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, delivered a keynote speech underscoring the importance of activating the Human Fraternity Document. He highlighted its pivotal role in addressing pressing global issues such as extremism, violence and hatred. Dr. Al-Ali called for collective efforts from individuals, institutions, and governments to translate the document’s principles into tangible actions.

The TRENDS CEO further proposed the establishment of a global social movement rooted in the document’s values, aimed at spreading tolerance and peaceful coexistence. He emphasized the vital role of youth as the backbone and future leaders of this movement.

Dr. Al-Ali also stressed the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors and civil society to advance the document’s objectives. He highlighted the role of education and awareness in instilling the document’s values in younger generations and commended the UAE’s pioneering efforts in championing the principles of the Human Fraternity Document.

Additionally, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali advocated for designating February 4—the date of the document’s signing—as an international day to celebrate human fraternity. He emphasized that this day would serve as an opportunity to renew commitments to building a more just and peaceful world.

Dr. Hamad Al Kaabi, CEO of Aletihad News Center, emphasized during his contribution to the panel discussion: “Promoting the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence has become an urgent necessity in today’s world, which faces increasing challenges in cultural and civilizational understanding.”

He pointed out that initiatives aimed at uniting efforts between the public and private sectors, as seen in the Global Human Fraternity Movement, serve as a practical model that can help build bridges of communication and foster mutual respect.

Al Kaabi added that Aletihad Center firmly believes in the pivotal role of media in spreading and solidifying these values within societies. He highlighted that by delivering balanced and moderate media discourse, barriers between cultures can be broken down, promoting constructive dialogue among nations.

He concluded by affirming, “At Aletihad Center, we place the promotion of tolerance and human fraternity at the core of our media mission. We are constantly striving to support initiatives that contribute to a more peaceful and understanding world.”

The event, which was moderated by Sharifa AlRaeesi, Deputy Head of the Projects Sector at TRENDS, also featured the AI robot Sophia, highlighted as a symbol of innovation and unbiased learning, in collaboration with Check Point, a leading cybersecurity company.
