TRENDS discusses promoting understanding and shaping events with 11 think tank representatives in Cape Town panel

TRENDS Research and Advisory hosted a panel discussion at its Cape Town, South Africa office, with the heads and representatives of 11 leading think tanks worldwide. H.E. Mahash Saeed Alhameli, Ambassador of the UAE to South Africa, and Mohammed Sheikh Ishaq, Ambassador of Somalia to South Africa, attended the event.   This panel discussion followed the conclusion of TRENDS’s first roundtable event, which included participants visiting the new Cape Town office. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, welcomed the participants and highlighted that the new office will serve as TRENDS’ gateway to the African continent. The panel discussion covered topics of significant strategic importance both regionally and internationally, such as current developments in Africa, the prospects of Arab African relations, and the role of think tanks in fostering understanding and cooperation between different cultures. It included contributions from Dr. Hamad Al-Kaabi, CEO of Aletihad News Center, and several researchers, heads of sectors and their deputies from TRENDS.   Participants emphasized the importance of collaboration between Arab and African think tanks to exchange expertise and ideas, enhance research, and develop innovative solutions to common challenges. They also praised TRENDS’ efforts in promoting dialogue and understanding between different cultures and its contributions to enriching knowledge and research. The attendees agreed on the crucial role think tanks play in strengthening cooperation between Arab and African countries, commending TRENDS for its initiatives in this area.   The panel participants agreed to further enhance cooperation between Arab and African think tanks, exchange expertise and ideas, and launch joint initiatives to promote research, dialogue, and understanding between different cultures
