A delegation of TRENDS Research and Advisory researchers visited the Advanced Technology Research Council in Abu Dhabi. During the visit, the two sides discussed enhancing AI, technology, sustainability, and research cooperation.
The TRENDS delegation was comprised of a group of researchers and experts headed by Awadh Al-Breiki, Head of the TRENDS Global Sector. At the same time, the Advanced Technology Research Council team included senior executives, experts, and researchers.
A panel discussion was held, during which views were exchanged on the challenges and opportunities facing the region in AI, technology, and sustainability. The two sides also discussed mechanisms to enhance cooperation in joint research and exchange of experiences.
The two sides underlined the importance of cooperation between leading regional research centers to enhance innovation and develop technical solutions that contribute to sustainable development.
They agreed to continue communication to identify areas of cooperation, especially in AI, technology, and sustainability, and to organize joint events such as conferences and workshops to exchange experiences and knowledge.
Researcher Awadh Al-Breiki expressed his appreciation for the Advanced Technology Research Council’s interest in strengthening cooperation with TRENDS. He stressed TRENDS’ commitment to joint action to achieve common goals in research and innovation.
He stressed the importance of cooperation between research centers to enhance innovation and develop solutions that contribute to achieving sustainable development. He added that TRENDS looks forward to working with the Advanced Technology Research Council to establish joint research projects, organize joint events, and exchange researchers according to a cooperation agreement soon.
The Advanced Technology Research Council welcomed the strengthening of cooperation with TRENDS. It is noted that this would contribute to achieving essential outcomes in AI, technology, and sustainability.
Notably, the Advanced Technology Research Council is responsible for formulating a research and development strategy to support the development of innovation and the knowledge-based economy in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
