TRENDS Explores Research and Media Cooperation with The Times

As part of its research tour in the British capital, London, a delegation from TRENDS Research & Advisory met with officials and journalists from The Times, a publication under News UK, the British arm of News Corp., to explore areas of joint research and media collaboration. The discussions also covered key global issues and the role of scientific research and media in providing balanced insights that contribute to addressing these challenges through precise, evidence-based approaches. Additionally, the talks focused on strengthening cooperation between The Times and the TRENDS International Training Institute by leveraging the newspaper’s extensive media expertise to enhance training programs offered to the institute’s partners.

           

The TRENDS delegation, led by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, along with several sector heads and researchers, toured the newspaper’s headquarters. During the visit, they gained insights into the operational mechanisms of the media group, which also includes The Sun newspaper and television stations. This visit aligns with TRENDS’ ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration with research centers and media institutions, aiming to produce dynamic and globally oriented knowledge content.

The discussions covered key global issues and the role of scientific research and media in providing balanced perspectives to address these challenges through precise, evidence-based approaches.

He emphasized the importance of integrating media and scientific research to create knowledge-driven content that offers analytical insights to keep pace with global developments and challenges. He also pointed out the crucial role of media in disseminating research findings to the widest possible audience.

Adam Cannon, NGN (The Sun newspaper) at UK News Group, welcomed the TRENDS delegation during their visit to the newspaper’s headquarters in London. He expressed his pleasure in hosting the delegation in the newsroom, where they had the opportunity to observe the workflow and explore the latest technologies and innovations used in media content production. Cannon emphasized that the visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen communication and exchange expertise between the two organizations.
