TRENDS Research & Advisory held an expanded strategic meeting with directors of its global offices, both physical and virtual, to explore ways of advancing its research and media performance and to discuss plans to strengthen its presence on the international intellectual stage.
The meeting covered several key strategic areas, including most notably: enhancing scientific research through joint studies between offices and the exchange of expertise and knowledge; developing media capabilities; launching multilingual interactive digital platforms to disseminate research content globally; organizing international conferences and events that bring together experts and policymakers to address strategic issues; and expanding the center’s geographic reach.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stressed that the meeting reflects the center’s strategy to bolster its role as a key player in the global intellectual landscape by building bridges of knowledge between East and West, and by producing rigorous, forward-looking research to support decision-makers.
Dr. Al-Ali added that TRENDS is working to empower its global offices and foster greater collaboration to cement its vision as an international think tank that delivers insightful, evidence-based analysis and contributes to shaping future policy. He emphasized that TRENDS aims to broaden the scope of research through high-impact initiatives that address today’s complex global challenges.
Looking ahead, he noted that TRENDS will focus on building strategic international partnerships and generating proactive research tailored to policymakers’ needs and aligned with the world’s fast-evolving dynamics.
Mr. Awadh Al-Breiki, Senior Researcher and Head of the TRENDS Global Sector, emphasized the importance of integrating research and media efforts to achieve the center’s strategic objectives. “We aim to strengthen coordination between research teams and global offices to ensure that the main headquarters is regularly supplied with timely, field-based studies and insights,” he stated.
He noted that TRENDS is focused on analyzing global issues using a scientific methodology and providing innovative perspectives that contribute to understanding international transformations.
Al-Breiki also noted that the meeting explored ways to develop conferences and events that foster constructive dialogue between experts and policymakers worldwide.
Abdulaziz Al-Marzouqi, Researcher and Director of TRENDS’ Global Offices, said the meeting centered on enhancing the performance of these offices to achieve shared goals. He stressed that the global offices serve as TRENDS’s public face in various countries, and efforts are underway to unify operations and strengthen engagement with international research and media institutions.
He also confirmed that plans include launching new virtual offices to broaden the center’s global coverage. Furthermore, TRENDS will continue to support its global offices with the necessary research and technical tools, focusing on pressing issues such as cybersecurity, climate change, and geopolitical shifts.
