In a strategic move that reflects the continued effort to innovate and keep pace with the world’s rapid developments, TRENDS Research & Advisory has announced the launch of the Advanced Political Studies Department within the Scientific Research Sector. This represents a shift in the production of specialized political content by integrating political analysis with technological tools, primarily artificial intelligence.

The new department aims to deliver modern, intellectual, and knowledge-based products that keep pace with rapid global changes and engage the public with a greater awareness and interest in analyzing politics from both strategic and technological perspectives simultaneously.

The Director of Advanced Political Studies at TRENDS, Mohamed Aldhuhoori, explained one of the most prominent initiatives, SnapShots, as a series of concise, focused political analyses that provide strategic summaries of the most pressing current issues. These analyses consider the accelerating pace of global developments without losing substantive meaning. The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Technology – the first peer-reviewed scientific journal in the region – examines the growing intersection between technology and industrial sectors, including national security, governance, and data-driven decision-making.

Aldhuhoori pointed out that the Advanced Political Studies Department will present the Thoughtism Podcast, which will feature a group of international thinkers offering insights into major political and intellectual issues from unconventional perspectives, utilizing an open-dialogue format. The department will also launch a visual series titled Fikrmology, which aims to present key political theories and ideas in a modern and engaging style, targeting young audiences and those who prefer fast and impactful visual content.

Aldhuhoori emphasized in his statement that the department seeks to provide content that goes beyond superficial coverage of political events, focusing instead on understanding deep contexts and new technological connections. He added that in a rapidly changing world, new thinking tools are essential. What the Advanced Political Studies Department offers is not a set of promotional or merely informational products but tools that enable researchers, decision-makers, and the public to see the bigger picture and grasp the dynamics of modern politics.

He emphasized that this step is part of TRENDS’ strategy to develop its research and intellectual tools. Also, to achieve integration between traditional knowledge and modern technology. That will enhance its role as a global think tank.
