As part of its Asian tour, TRENDS Research & Advisory arrives in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital. This is the third leg of the tour after two successful ones in Japan and South Korea. The tour promotes knowledge and cultural exchange with different cultures and peoples.
TRENDS will launch its Jakarta office at the start of its activities in Indonesia, making it the tenth TRENDS office globally. In media partnership with Aletihad News Center, TRENDS will officially sponsor the 44th edition of the Indonesia International Book Fair 2024, which kicks off on the 25th of this month and runs for five days.
The TRENDS pavilion, the only research center participating in the Fair, is located in the Jakarta Convention Center at numbers 53 and 54. The pavilion will showcase various publications and research studies, including 270 books covering regional and global issues.
Five of these books are translated into Indonesian, including the 11th and 12th volumes of the Encyclopedia of the Muslim Brotherhood, Global Trends in AI, Economic Trends (4)—Automation and the Future of Competition between Man and Machine: An Analytical Forward-Looking Vision, and the Muslim Brotherhood International Power Index.
TRENDS’ researchers and team participating in the Indonesia International Book Fair will conduct a series of research tours and visits to leading academic institutions and research centers in Indonesia. These visits aim to hold productive meetings with researchers and academics that facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise regarding various regional and global issues.
Additionally, TRENDS will organize a symposium and a panel discussion on the sidelines of the Fair. The symposium will focus on “Building Bridges and Shaping the Future: Relations between the GCC Countries and Southeast Asia.”The panel discussion will feature the launch of the “Muslim Brotherhood International Power Index in the Indonesian Language,” with broad participation from researchers and interested people.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, said: “We are pleased to participate in this important cultural event, which provides an ideal platform to showcase our latest publications and research. He noted that participating in such cultural and intellectual events provides an ideal opportunity to showcase the latest research and studies and exchange expertise and knowledge with experts and thinkers worldwide.
Dr. Al-Ali emphasized that TRENDS’ first-time participation in the Fair highlights its leading position in research and advisory services and its commitment to promoting scientific research-based knowledge and foreseeing the future through knowledge. He pointed out that the Center continues to work incessantly to achieve its global vision of becoming an international platform for intellectual and cultural dialogue.
Rawda Al-Marzouqi, Director of Distribution and Exhibitions at TRENDS, explained that the Center will showcase a diverse and rich collection of valuable publications, some of which have been translated into 15 languages. She noted that the Indonesia International Book Fair is one of the largest cultural events in Asia, serving as a hub of knowledge for tens of thousands of intellectuals, writers, researchers, and publishers.
Al-Marzouqi highlighted that TRENDS’ pavilion is the only Arab research center participating in the Fair, alongside Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities. The center’s goal is to open horizons and knowledge in new regions.
