TRENDS Research & Advisory held a panel discussion, The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Public Opinion Polls, as part of its ongoing research and events series. The event featured Dr. Magued Osman, CEO of the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera), and was attended by several TRENDD researchers.

The session was moderated by Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Shehhi, Deputy Head of the Research Sector at TRENDS. Dr. Osman stressed that AI measures public opinion and shapes it through the content delivered to users via various digital platforms. This raises critical questions about the accuracy and neutrality of data.
He also pointed out that these technologies may witness rapid developments in the coming months, even days, which could lead to a transformative shift in public opinion polling. This underscores the need to thoroughly examine these tools to ensure their use enhances accuracy and transparency in understanding societal trends.
