Trends Research and Advisory participated in an important international event on gender equality in the Arab region. Organized in New York by the Baha’i International Conference (BIC), the event highlighted the role of government institutions and civil society in promoting gender equality.
The panel speakers stressed the importance of institutional reform combined with broader social changes to achieve real progress. They also stressed the need to consider societal values and traditions that affect gender equality, while promoting the noble values and changing social customs that hinder women’s advancement.
Researcher Aisha Al-Rumaithi, Director of the Research Department at the Trends Research and Advisory focused on the significance of the well-being of both women and men, as well as the relationship between them. She spoke about the necessity to consider the peculiar needs of both genders and the extent to which institutions are able to achieve a balance between these needs.
Trends’ participation in this event reflects its continued commitment to support development and sustainability issues through a research vision that anticipates the future with knowledge.
