Trends Research and Advisory researchers met with His Excellency Ambassador Adel Issa Al Mahri, GCC representative and permanent observer at the offices of the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, where they reviewed opportunities for cooperation and research partnership. The meeting was held in the context of Trends’ keenness to enhance cooperation with international organizations.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory attended the meeting. The two sides discussed opportunities for joint cooperation in the fields of research, and the potential for joint projects, activities and conferences.
Trends researchers briefed the Gulf official on the nature of the center’s research efforts, its global outreach strategy of opening to international research centers and institutions. Trends side explained the role of the center in disseminating knowledge aimed at promoting a culture of peace, coexistence and tolerance.
Ambassador Adel Issa welcomed the Trends researchers and praised their efforts in prompting genuine research, as well as their participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos and other major international forums.
He said that Trends has become a global knowledge bridge that contributes to the development of visions, foreseeing events through balanced and well documented research.
Ambassador Adel welcomed cooperation with Trends Research and Advisory and said he looks forward for a mutual partnership that supports the efforts of both sides. Such engagement shall deliver valuable studies, reports and insights that help us face the challenges and explore them effectively. The two sides agreed to continue communication and conclude a future partnership that promotes joint cooperation.
TRENDS at the United Nations Office at Geneva
Trends’ researchers paid a working visit to the United Nations European headquarters in Geneva. The Trends side were briefed on the work and role of the UN office. They explained to the UN officials the nature of Trends’ research work and explored opportunities for joint cooperation.
These two visits reflect Trends’ keenness to strengthen cooperation with the main regional international organizations in the world. This contributes to the exchange of experiences and promotes effective coordination of research efforts that address global challenges.
