TRENDS Signs Research Cooperation Agreement with the Weapons and Hazardous Substances Office

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between H.E. Mohamed Suhail Al Neyadi, Director General of the Weapons and Hazardous Substances Office, and Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2025.

       

The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in research and studies related to the regulation of trade in arms, ammunition, and hazardous materials, thereby supporting the development of scientific and intellectual knowledge in these critical fields.

       

The agreement opens broad horizons for collaboration in training, joint research, specialized studies, exchange of expertise, and the organization of conferences and seminars addressing challenges related to weapons and hazardous materials, reflecting both parties’ commitment to their national and international responsibilities.

       

H.E. Mohamed Suhail Al Neyadi affirmed that the agreement is part of the Office’s strategy to enhance cooperation with leading research and intellectual institutions. He added that the partnership with TRENDS would provide significant value to the Office’s efforts by supplying specialized research and studies, as well as accurate information to support policy development and strengthen the security and safety framework.

       

Dr. Mohamed Al Ali emphasized that signing the agreement reflects TRENDS’ commitment to supporting knowledge-based efforts in the regulation of arms trade and in combating related threats. He noted that the center will dedicate its research and intellectual expertise to this collaboration.

       

Dr. Al Ali also highlighted TRENDS’ focus, through this partnership, on developing in-depth studies and scholarly research outputs that reinforce national policies and keep pace with global developments, contributing to a safer and more stable environment.
