TRENDS Research & Advisory has signed two memoranda of understanding and strategic cooperation with the Eurasia Barometer Comparative Survey Research Institute and Sigma International, a Tunisian polling center. To enhance collaboration in preparing specialized analytical and forecasting studies, as well as the conduct of regional and international opinion polls and large-scale field surveys.
This pivotal step is part of TRENDS’ efforts to strengthen its regional and international partnerships, particularly with major centers and institutes specializing in public opinion research and opinion polls. Maximize the benefits of shared expertise and knowledge exchange to develop monitoring, analysis, and measurement tools.

Big Data Analysis
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, said that signing the two memoranda of understanding with Eurasia Barometer and Sigma International is part of the center’s strategy to pursue sustainable development and innovation, and to adopt the latest global methods in data monitoring and analysis and public opinion polls. He added that this constructive cooperation will contribute to adapting artificial intelligence tools and techniques to analyze big data and extract results accurately and quickly, especially in opinion polls that measure societal and intellectual phenomena.

Public Opinion Poll
Dr. Al-Ali indicated that, under the MoUs, a series of joint opinion polls and analytical reports will be implemented in coordination and cooperation with the Global Barometer at TRENDS. This also includes expanding the exchange of expertise, data, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy of analyses and statistics. It also includes organizing a series of events on the importance of opinion polls and their role in measuring and predicting public opinion. He stated that TRENDS Research & Advisory is always keen to cooperate with leading global think tanks and research institutes of international importance. The aim is to enrich knowledge and provide forward-looking insights and objective analyses that promote the growth and prosperity of societies and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Understanding Social Interactions
Professor Christian William Henry Haerpfer, CEO of the Eurasia Barometer Research Institute, emphasized that the collaboration with TRENDS opens new horizons for partnership in preparing forward-looking studies based on accurate data, in addition to designing and implementing opinion polls that enhance understanding of social and economic interactions in Eurasia and the Middle East and North Africa regions. Haerpfer explained that the MoU also establishes the foundation for developing predictive models for the future of regional and international integration based on analyzing public opinion trends across continents, creating a new common language for understanding geopolitical transformations. It also enables the conduct of original and valuable research based on evidence, facts, and accurate data, and its use to serve society and support decision-makers and policymakers.

Developing Monitoring Tools
Hassen Zargouni, General Manager of Sigma International Polling Center in Tunisia, explained that the collaboration with TRENDS will contribute to developing qualitative monitoring tools to analyze societal trends via digital platforms and traditional field surveys. It will also involve jointly preparing socioeconomic opinion polls and providing analytical insights and future-oriented studies. Zargouni added that Sigma International will work with TRENDS to develop opinion polls related to various banking, financial, insurance, and service issues. This will be indicated by measuring customer satisfaction, the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies, problem analysis, methodological support, analyzing results, and providing recommendations.
