The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and Trends Research and Advisory renewed their research cooperation agreement and expressed their commitment to open new horizons in the scientific and research fields.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the first edition of the Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Community Forum. It was signed by His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Neyadi, Director General of the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority and Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory.
The renewal and activation of the mutual agreement reflects a commitment by the two sides towards developing effective ties to expand the knowledge base, benefit from their accumulated scientific and research expertise, and enhance the potential means of cooperation and partnership in the fields of knowledge and research. The two sides shall provide a framework for communication, coordination and cooperation. Both of them seek to achieve their common goals in the scientific and research fields.
Areas of cooperation include training, conducting joint research in areas of common interest, especially in the field of forward-looking and field studies. The two parties shall conduct public opinion polls and field research. They shall exchange experts and researchers and benefit from their expertise. Potential cooperation covers joint scientific and research events, exchange of publications, joint research publications, an benefiting from databases, information and research available to each party. They shall conduct training programs, such as courses, workshops and focused lectures.
H.E. Ali Rashid Al Neyadi said that cooperation between (NCEMA) and Trends is fruitful and proceeds according to steps aimed at enhancing research efforts and providing development expertise in strategic fields. The two sides shall foster a conducive environment for sustainable cooperation. He indicated that the scope of training, research and studies helps to monitor and analyze all the challenges and circumstances surrounding the UAE society. This shall help us find innovative solutions that enhance the country’s standing regionally and internationally.
H.E. Ali Rashid Al Neyadi stressed the importance of promoting research and studies in various fields, most notably in the emergency and crisis community. It should be developed as a sustainable work based on studying different issues and finding sustainable solutions to them. There is a need to promote research and development skills, which in turn meet work needs and support national efforts in the emergency and crisis system. We have to consolidate these competencies and skills to enhance proactive approaches and resilience to address emerging variables, whether at the local or international level.
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends Research and Advisory, expressed his appreciation for the effective cooperation with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority. He indicated that the renewal of the agreement is an affirmation of this fruitful cooperation. He said Trends shall continue to open new horizons for cooperation based on its keenness to strengthen partnerships with national institutions, and use them arrangements to promote objective and serious scientific research.
He praised the vital role played by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority in developing the crisis management system in the UAE.
