-A TRENDS Symposium at the British Parliament on GCC-British relations
At the invitation of the French Senate, TRENDS Research & Advisory, in collaboration with the Senate, will organize a panel discussion – Coexistence, Brotherhood’s Separatism: Crossed Perspectives – on December 9, 2024, at the historic Monory Hall in the Luxembourg Palace, Paris. The event will feature a select group of researchers and experts from TRENDS and France.
TRENDS will move from Paris to London where it will organize a symposium on December 11 at the British Parliament, under the title “Enhancing Prospects for Gulf-British Cooperation: Opportunities and Challenges”.
The panel in Paris, which will be held with the participation of Aletihad News Center, will address several themes, including separatism and physical radicalization sites and how to combat separatism. It will also highlight the epistemological struggle against the Muslim Brotherhood, tolerance, and coexistence and cite the example of the Alsace-Moselle Concordat and the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence at universities. The participants will also explore several insights and proposals to confront the threat of Brotherhood separatism and safeguard the values of coexistence.
The danger posed by extremism to values of peaceful coexistence has become a pressing concern for policymakers and thinkers worldwide. As part of its new research tour in France, TRENDS Research & Advisory holds this dialogue session with the Arab World Institute in Paris to explore prospects for cooperation to strengthen cultural and academic partnerships. It will also discuss future initiatives, including the organization of joint events, research projects, and cultural exchange programs that contribute to the empowerment of young researchers and the promotion of cultural diplomacy.
