-Dr. Mohammed Al-Ali: Winning the award reflects our motto «Foreseeing The Future Through Knowledge»
TRENDS Research & Advisory has won the 12th Sharjah Government Communication Award in the category of «Best Investment in Soft Power to Support Communication Programmes» for its «TRENDS Knowledge Community» service, which aims to promote knowledge and information based on precise scientific and research-driven data and analyses.
The award was presented to TRENDS by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council. It was received on behalf of the center by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, in the presence of H.E. Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, during the closing ceremony of the 14th edition of the International Government Communication Forum 2025, held on September 10–11 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
The «TRENDS Knowledge Community» service is a knowledge platform that delivers high-quality scientific and research content through WhatsApp. It is distinguished by its diversity and richness, presented in simplified and accessible formats. The content focuses on modern research and innovations, specialized reports and studies, and scientific analyses of various global issues and topics.

«Foreseeing The Future Through Knowledge»
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, valued the center’s winning of the 2025 Sharjah Government Communication Award in the category of «Best Investment in Soft Power to Support Communication Programmes» dedicating this recognition to the TRENDS team, which continually strives for excellence and leadership in the fields of research, science, and knowledge.
He added that this award crowns the efforts and intellectual journey of the center, which is moving confidently toward global recognition. The achievement, he emphasized, also reflects the center’s motto «Foreseeing the Future through Knowledge», which it has embraced since its founding and has sought to put into practice through its various international engagements.
Knowledge as Soft Power
Dr. Al-Ali pointed out that TRENDS spares no effort in continuing to disseminate purposeful knowledge across regional and international platforms, because accurate knowledge is the true form of soft power and the weapon nations use to confront misconceptions and destructive ideologies. It is also the key factor behind the advancement, prosperity, and progress of peoples and societies.

An Awareness Arm
He explained that the «TRENDS Knowledge Community» service represents the awareness arm of the center, aiming to simplify and spread specialized knowledge on strategic issues, particularly topics such as cybersecurity, climate change, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and sustainability. The goal is to make this knowledge accessible as a reference for academics, researchers, and specialists, while also presenting it to non-specialists. This contributes to building an aware and informed society that understands the events and developments taking place globally.
The CEO of TRENDS further stated that the «TRENDS Knowledge Community» also seeks to transfer solid research and academic knowledge-produced through the center’s various outputs and scientific publications-to the global community in a smooth and accessible manner, through articles, infographics, and videos. This, he explained, helps narrow the knowledge gap between intellectual production and societal application, while enhancing the dissemination of correct concepts and the rectification of misconceptions.
