Ali Mostfa

Ali Mostfa is associate professor at ESTRI, Lyon Catholic University, and former vice-dean of international relations. He is a researcher at the research unit CONFLUENCE, Sciences & Humanities, member of the scientific coordination board of PLURIEL, (International Platform for Research on Islam) and scientific consultant of WOCMES (World Congress for Middle East Studies).  His research focuses on religious discourse and violence, religion and ethnicity, Islam in the context of Western modernity and transformation processes in relation to religious belief. In his recent publications, Ali Mostfa addresses in his recent publications the theme of cultural and political representation and the process of constructing models of identity and memory in social and literary discourses.
