Anthony Celso is a Professor of Security Studies at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He is the author of Al Qaeda’s Post 9-11 Devolution: The Failed Jihadist War against the Near and Far Enemy (New York, Bloomsbury Press, 2014), The Islamic State: A History of Comparative Jihadist Warfare (Latham: Lexington Books, 2018) and the forth coming book Rogue Allies: The Strategic Partnership between Iran and North Korea (Lexington: University of Kentucky Press, 2023).
