Aya Alkabarity

Program Manager, Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI)

Aya Alkabarity is the program manager at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI); an independent, non-partisan think tank that pulls on its global network of experts to provide innovative policy analysis and solutions for the digital era. She applies her project management skills and experience in research and consulting to effectively plan and manage the execution of CIGI’s projects and initiatives in the fields.

Prior to joining CIGI, Aya worked as a senior program officer at Columbia Global Centres | Amman where she managed several research, policy, and capacity building projects in the areas of education, migration, socio economic development, and gender. Most recently, Aya worked as a project manager at Blueprint ADE, where she managed multiple consulting and evaluation projects.

Aya holds an honours B.A. in urban studies, equity studies, and women and gender studies from the University of Toronto. She also earned her project management professional certification in 2017.
