Dr. Ayman Al-Dusuqi is currently serving as a senior researcher and strategic expert at TRENDS Research & Advisory. Additionally, he is a professor of international relations at Cairo University, Egypt (on leave).

Dr. Al-Dusuqi has worked for several academic and research institutions both within and outside the UAE. These include the Future University in Egypt, Abu Dhabi University, Sharjah University, the American University in the Emirates, the University of South Carolina in the United States, the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, and Deraya Speakers in Abu Dhabi.

His research interests encompass strategic affairs, Middle East policies, and parallel diplomacy. He has an extensive body of peer-reviewed research, participated in various international conferences, and published numerous articles in Egyptian and Arab newspapers and websites.

Dr. Al-Dusuqi obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from Cairo University. He completed his graduate studies at the universities of Cairo and South Carolina, where he obtained his Ph.D. in international relations in 2008.
