Dr. Mouhanad Khorchide

Dr. Mouhanad Khorchide has been the Head of the Center for Islamic Theology, University of Münster, Germany, since 2011. He is a Professor of Quranic Studies and Religious Education at the same university, besides being a member of the European Institute of Intercultural and Interreligious Research’s Advisory Board. Dr. Khorchide is also the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Documentation Center for Political Islam, Ministry of Integration, Austria. Dr. Khorchide serves as a member of the German Advisory Board for Research on Political Islam, Ministry of Interior, Germany, and a Religion and Politics Research Unit member at the University of Münster. Besides political Islam, his research interests include religious revival, modern approaches to interpreting the Holy Quran, Islamic theology for mercy, and Islam in Europe. He has published numerous books and papers in German and English.
