Hamad Al Hosani

Mr. Hamad Al Hosani is the Director of the Political Islam Studies Department at TRENDS Research & Advisory in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Mr. Al Hosani joined the TRENDS team at the beginning of 2024 as a researcher specializing in Political Islam Studies. Prior to joining TRENDS, he worked as a researcher at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research and, earlier, as an Assistant Professor from 2019 to 2021 during his university studies. He also served as President of the Student Council and President of the Chinese and Japanese Club at the university. Mr. Al Hosani holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Zayed University (2021). He completed his ILM Leadership Qualification Program in the UK under the patronage of the UAE Presidential Court. He has also completed several developmental courses in leadership, public speaking, and self-development at New York University Abu Dhabi and Zayed University. He is proficient in the Chinese language, having obtained Level 3 certification from the Confucius Institute for Chinese Language and Culture (HSK).
