Tatiana Antonelli Abella is Founder and Managing Director, Goumbook. After studying Architecture and Urban Planning in Italy, she moved to the UAE in 2005 and decided to support sustainable development. She helped raise awareness among the local community on curbing pollution, conserving natural resources, and reducing environmental impact. Her passion for sustainability led to Goumbook in 2009, making it the first “green” information resource and “eco-directory” in the MENA region.
Abella sits on the Engage Committee under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s umbrella and acts as an Advisor to Art Dubai and the Emirates Literature Festival to help them become more sustainable. Since 2012, she has been a judge at the Gulf Capital SME Awards for the “Most Sustainable Business of the Year.” She regularly contributes to media and conferences in her role as a green business leader in the country.
