TRENDS Group, through its virtual office in Morocco, concluded its participation in the 31st edition of the Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair 2026, which took place from April 30 to May 10 at OLM Souissi in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.

For the second consecutive year, TRENDS contributed to the exhibition through an exceptional pavilion showcasing a diverse range of research publications on economic, social, political, security, technological, and environmental issues. The pavilion also attracted large numbers of visitors who learned about the group’s academic series, research projects, and studies across various fields.

To foster future cooperation and build bridges of knowledge and intellectual exchange, TRENDS researchers who participated in the Rabat Book Fair discussed mechanisms for cultural and knowledge partnerships with officials from the international pavilions at the fair. They also presented several of TRENDS’ most prominent scientific and research publications in support of purposeful and sustainable knowledge dissemination.

Publications and Research Services

TRENDS Group’s participation came as part of its commitment to participating in regional and international book fairs to disseminate science and knowledge and to provide readers with solid scientific content that broadens intellectual horizons, enables anticipation of the future, and encourages active participation in shaping it. The group’s pavilion witnessed significant attendance from thinkers, researchers, experts, academics, and individuals interested in culture and thought. Visitors were introduced to the group’s distinguished publications and its research, training, and advisory services.

The book fair is considered one of the most prominent cultural and intellectual forums in North Africa, with participation from dozens of countries and hundreds of publishing houses. Through its extensive activities, the fair attracts an elite group of thinkers, intellectuals, and creators from around the world. The group added that this cultural and intellectual forum constitutes an important platform for introducing TRENDS’ research and knowledge outputs, which is why it has been keen to participate for the second consecutive year.”

A Major Cultural Platform

For her part, Rawdha Al-Marzouoqi, Researcher and Director of Distribution and Exhibitions at TRENDS, explained that participating in the Rabat International Publishing and Book Fair for the second time has opened new horizons and broader opportunities for effective intellectual dialogue. It has also served as a major cultural platform for communication, the building of cooperative relationships, and public engagement with TRENDS’ research output, which seeks to anticipate the future through knowledge.

She stated that the group, through its virtual office in Morocco, launched three new research publications on the sidelines of its participation in the exhibition: the book Space Diplomacy and State Trust: The UAE and the Strategic Rationale for Arab Space Cooperation; the second volume of The Muslim Brotherhood: Expansion Experiences and Confrontation Approaches; and both the Arabic and French versions of the Muslim Brotherhood International Index 2025.

Opportunities and Challenges

Al-Marzouqi added that the group also organized a major scientific symposium at its pavilion entitled Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Promising Opportunities or Ethical Challenges? The symposium featured an elite group of academics, experts, and researchers who emphasized that artificial intelligence has become a tangible reality that must be addressed across all sectors, especially in education. However, they stressed that the real challenge lies in balancing the benefits of technology with the human dimension of education.
