TRENDS’ pavilion attracts visitors with 350 diverse publications

TRENDS Research & Advisory has kicked off its fourth participation in the Cairo International Book Fair 2025 with a unique pavilion showcasing over 350 diverse publications. Starting from the early days of the fair, the pavilion attracted a wide range of visitors, including ministers, ambassadors, officials, intellectuals, researchers, academics and enthusiasts of scientific and research content. Visitors commended TRENDS’ knowledge-driven vision and strategy, which support global research efforts and foresight through knowledge.

Among the notable visitors was H.E. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Egypt’s Minister of Culture, who was briefed on TRENDS’ global research strategy and browsed its latest publications, including key studies, research works, and scientific series. Dr. Hano praised the center’s efforts in advancing knowledge and enhancing scientific research.

The pavilion also welcomed H.E. Olivia Toderean, Romania’s Ambassador to Cairo; H.E. Dr. Maria Al-Hatali, Secretary-General of the UAE Council for Fatwa; H.E. Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director-General of the UAE National Library and Archives; Diana Ștefana Baciuna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, Romania; and Farhan Al Marzouqi, Director of Corporate and Community Outreach Department at the UAE National Library and Archives. A delegation from the Coordination’s Committee of Parties’ Youth Leaders and Politicians, Egypt, also visited the pavilion.

Visitors were introduced to TRENDS’ global research strategy and explored its diverse studies in economics, politics, international security, foreign policy, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, climate, and environment. They praised the variety and depth of the publications, which offer precise and objective scientific analyses of current international issues and crises.

Exploring Collaboration

The TRENDS team participating in the 56th Cairo International Book Fair engaged in discussions about collaboration and research partnerships with representatives from several international pavilions, research institutions, cultural organizations, and think tanks. These included the Romanian Pavilion, Oman’s Pavilion, Qatar’s Ministry of Culture Pavilion, Egypt’s Ministry of Defense Pavilion, the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) of the Egyptian Cabinet, and the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies.

TRENDS honored H.E. Olivia Toderean, Romania’s Ambassador to Cairo, and Diana Ștefana Baciuna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, Romania, with the TRENDS Research Medal in recognition of their efforts to promote scientific research and enhance knowledge dissemination.

Harnessing Artificial Intelligence

As part of its participation in the Cairo International Book Fair, TRENDS Research & Advisory will host a major symposium tomorrow, Monday, January 27, 2025, titled “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development: Future Insights and Perspectives”. The symposium will be held in collaboration with the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet and Bibliotheca Alexandrina at the IDSC headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital.
