Mohamed Al Hammadi

Chairman of the Board of Directors, The UAE Journalists Association

A journalist, writer, speaker, and media expert. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association and the current Assistant to the President of the General Union of Arab Journalists, the founder and President of Jusoor International Center for Media and Development, and currently editor-in-chief of Jusoorpost website. He is the former editor-inchief of Al Ittihad newspaper, and former Executive Director of Editing and Publishing at Abu Dhabi Media Company, former editor-in-chief of National Geographic magazine Arabic version, and former editor-in-chief of AlRoeya newspaper. He assumed responsibilities that were not limited to managing operations and prominent media brands such as Al-Etihad Newspaper, Zahrat Al-Khaleej Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, and Majid Magazine, but instead went beyond developing digital business in the publishing sector in Abu Dhabi media.

Al Hammadi holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Superior School of Journalism, Communication and International Relations – Paris (2023). He received many awards, including the Federal Personality of the Year Award from the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (2012), the Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Award for Humanitarian Action (2013), the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Award for Scientific Excellence (1995), and the Distinguished Journalist Award from Dubai Press Club (2001), an award for the best newspaper article in the Tarim Omran press award (2003).

Al Hammadi is a member of many organizations and associations, including the Board of Directors of the Gulf Press Union (Manama), and International Federation of Journalists (Brussels).

Al Hammadi has published books such as “The Time of the Tribulation” (2008), “Emirates Democracy” (2009), and “Autumn Brotherhood” (2016). He has written more than 4,000 articles on local and global issues.
